Every October I host our family Halloween party. We always have a good time and eat too much food. This year was no exception. Some years we pick a theme for the party. This year we tried to do an Edgar Allan Poe theme. It was hard one to do. Things crept up to quickly this year, with the new baby and Evie getting sick. I don't seem to have as much time as I use to. My sisters are always a big help so I can't take all the credit.

Mondee

I love Mondays when my hubby doesn't have to work! It's Columbus Day for those of you who are out of the loop :) One good thing about a government job is that he gets those odd holidays off most of the time. He has planned to work in the basement and garage so he can get our other car in the garage. We have grown out of our Saab :( It's too low for a six foot four man to bend over and take kids in and out so we had to get something bigger. Derek didn't want to get anything brand new so we ended up finding a '97 Toyota Land Cruiser. I'm happy to have a ginormous car again so I can mow down anyone in my way. Just kidding, just happy to have something that's better in the snow.

Other happy news is Derek was ordained to the Melchezediek Priesthood yesterday. Thank you family and friends for coming to support him. We love you all.

Our New Arrival

Our Sweet Will!

My water broke on Wednesday Aug. 26th around 9:00 PM to my surprise and delight. Actually I wasn't that surprised...Evie was three weeks early so I was expecting him to come early also. We hopped in the car and made it to the hospital around 10:00. The minute I stepped out of the car more water decided to drench me. My skirt got completely soaked and water was running down my legs. I didn't have a towel or anything so my flip flops were going squish squish squish all the way up to labor and delivery on the 4th floor! The nurses got a kick out of the state I was in when I got there. I was rather embarassed but just happy to be at the hospital. Must of been a popular night to have a baby. They were short staffed due to so many women delivering that night. We waited awhile for our nurse to arrive and get things started. My epideral didn't arrive as quickly as it did when I had Evie so I experienced more pain then I really wanted to that night but it made me appreciate it even more. Oh the relief!! The nurses commented how sweet and attentive Derek was to me during the delivery and that made me feel really lucky to have such a great husband. We had planned on naming our boy Thomas. William was about third on our list. We both knew he wasn't a Thomas when we saw him and both thought he looked like a William which is still really strange to me. He has lots of dark hair, a sweet round face and a sweet disposition. Were are so blessed and happy to have our healthy baby boy!

Spring in Morgan

Spring is such a beautiful time of year here in Morgan. I had to share some pictures that I took this Spring. I took Evie out to the dandelion field by our house and let her explore. It was such a green, beautiful Spring this year because of all the rain we got. I wish it lasted longer!!

Waiting

This will probaby be one of those summers I'll remember forever. Not because of a fun family vacation or family reunion or anything else so momentous. I think I will always remember how PREGNANT I was the summer of 2009. I'm ready for it to be over! I'm tired of never finding a comfortable position when I'm sitting or lying down. I'm sick of people staring at me everytime I go anywhere. You'd think I was an alien from outer space by some of the looks I get. I want to yell..."YES, my stomach is huge because I'm about to give birth, haven't you ever seen a pregnant woman before!?!" I will keep counting my blessings though and be grateful for this moment in my life. Until this little one wants to be born I have no choice but to keep waiting.
