The Backyard

Last weekend we spent time working on our backyard that is unfinished. We had a dump truck load of topsoil delivered and spent all day Friday hauling the dirt from the driveway to the backyard. I mostly worked on getting the flower beds weeded and cleared so we would have a place to put the soil. Derek pretty much hauled the whole entire load of soil by himself in one day! Talk about hard work! We literally spent the whole day outside working until the kids fell apart and it was time for baths and bed. It was so nice to be outside digging in the dirt again and then falling into bed completely exhausted. Now the fun part...planting trees, bushes and flowers. I guess we have our weekends planned for us.
